To understand the needs of both students and tutors, I analyzed similar platforms and identified key pain points, including course accessibility, scheduling conflicts, and payment security. The research phase involved gathering insights from educators to ensure a seamless workflow for class booking, lesson delivery, and student progress tracking.
I designed a user-friendly system that allows students to enroll in courses, book sessions, and access paid content through a membership-based model. The platform integrates a tutor dashboard where educators can manage their availability, set lesson prices, and track student engagement. The wireframes focused on an intuitive interface, ensuring that users could navigate course listings, booking systems, and payment options effortlessly.
To handle paid course access, I implemented a course enrollment system that restricts content based on subscription tiers or one-time payments. The scheduling system syncs with tutors' availability, preventing conflicts and allowing students to book sessions in real time. I integrated automated email reminders and calendar sync features to improve engagement. Additionally, I ensured that tutors could host lessons directly through the platform using embedded meeting tools or external integrations like Zoom.
Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure payment security, course accessibility, and a smooth scheduling process. I ran multiple user tests with tutors and students to refine the workflow, fix bugs, and enhance usability. Special attention was given to edge cases like last-minute cancellations, refunds, and double-bookings, ensuring a robust system that maintains high user satisfaction.
