About this project
This onboarding flow is designed to help first time sign-up users to quickly see the values inside SevOne and set up their environment by minimal actions.
Lengthy and overwhelming onboarding process...
SevOne's onboarding experience required new trial users to complete multiple setup tasks before they could experience the platform's value.
Users were expected to configure both Metrics & Flow monitoring and Synthetic Testing, each involving several steps and technical decisions.
For first-time users, this created a lengthy and overwhelming onboarding process that increased cognitive load and delayed the moment when meaningful insights became visible.

Set up metrics and flow
Set up metrics will let you direct, manage, and monitor your thousands of devices in real time.
There are 2 steps to set up metrics:
1. Deploy network collector
2. Add devices to collector
Set up Synthetics and create test
Create a synthetic test with either private or public hosts in order to see data about your network.
There are also 2 steps to complete a private synthetic test:
1. Add private location and host
2. Create synthetics test
Learning path and get converted
Once metrics and synthetics are set up, we expect users to learn SevOne's AHA moments with our learning path and get converted to paid plan from trial asap.
I realized that first-time trial users are not yet customers. They're evaluators. Their goal isn't to learn every feature, but to quickly determine whether the product delivers value. The onboarding experience was designed to minimize effort, reduce cognitive load, and help users reach that answer as quickly as possible.

Flexible entry points: Allow users to start with the workflow most relevant to their needs and continue onboarding later from the dashboard.

SevOne offers free public hosts and test data before they set up private environment.

This check box will be checked by default. Once proceed, add location and agent wizard will be populated.
